REFORCE is produced from lignin as feedstock. This unique performance material can be considered as hybrid: it can be used to substitute carbon black and can additionally contribute to rubber reinforcement by chemical coupling via bi-functional silanes.
REFORCE 4500X has medium reinforcement properties comparable to soft blacks and is provided to selected partners under NDA/MTA as X-perimental grade targeting at working out standard commercial and customer specific product specifications.
